Hi all,
I have search the Forum Topics and couldn't find a solution for my problem.

This is the first time I use Webtree, so there are no files to import and I don't have to share a database.
During the setup I got this message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function fetchOne() on a non-object in /home/si000262/www/home/ancestral/webtrees/setup.php on line 347

I have already checked the setup.php file and this is the line

$dummy=WT_DB::query("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `##users`")->fetchOne();
echo '<p class="bad">', WT_I18N::translate('This database and table-prefix appear to be used by another application. If you have an existing PhpGedView system, you should create a new webtrees system. You can import your PhpGedView data and settings later.'), '</p>';
$dbname_ok=false;
} catch (PDOException $ex) {

but as above mentioned I don't have any exiting PhpGedView system, so what would you suggest to do?

Thanks for any hint
hast
ps: my server only supports PHP5.2.5 therefore I installed version 1.4.6.

Sorry, did you create a tree?
Go to ADMIN > FAMILY TREES and then create a new tree. You must have a tree for the site to work.
This will create the first person as a dummy. Simply change the information to your first person and have at it.

Probably a bug.

Why has nobody else reported this? We know the code runs OK for many people with PHP5.2

Also, the code is in an error-handler. You shouldn't get any errors here.

But, you have a very old version of PHP5.2. Perhaps this particular error changed its type during the evolution of PHP5.2 (from "uncatchable" error to "catchable" error).

Fixing this should be fairly easy. But testing it might be difficult, as I'm not sure where I could find installation disks for a server containing PHP5.2.5

Thanks ToyGuy for your answer and link, but I fear this wont do, cause the installation stops before I can create a webtree.

Hi fisharebest,
thanks for your input! I really do think that could be a bug, cause if there is no table "users" normaly the installation should continue to Administrator account and email settings. maybe everyone installing 4.5.5. vers. before had already a webtree database or gedcom files - therefore no former reports on this.

mhmm what do you mean, does it make sense to install a earlier version of webtrees? If there is one.. Only to get the databasestructure?

Yes, you can try installling 1.0.0, and then immediately upgrading to 1.4.6

Great!! thanks
I'll try maybe vers. 1.1.2 (with 1,237 downloads this should be stable enough I hope) ;-)
