[strike]I have just noticed that the « português do Brasil » language does not have the translation for that sentence (Gmail notice).[/strike]
Not true. My mistake, wrong tab.
Para usar uma conta de email do Google, use as seguintes configurações: servidor=smtp.gmail.com, porta=587, segurança=tls, nome de usuário=xxxxx@gmail.com, senha=[sua senha do Gmail]

Well, the best I can say at this point is to contact the technical support of your webhost.

I have other 2 installed software (Feng Office and Vtiger CRM) in the same webhost, and smtp mail is working very well in both. My conclusion, the problem is not with the webhost!
If you want I give you admin permission to my "family tree", you can test with your gmail, for example, what do you think?
Regards.

Thousands of people are using webtrees to send email - with PHP and also with SMTP.
What is different on your server? Perhaps your configuration settings. In #19, you said that you would attach them...

Ops, I added 3 screenshots in #20, but our forum accepted just 2, I don't know why!
OK, attached the third... from #20.

As far as I know, Feng Office and Vtiger have their own email system management. webtrees does not have such separate email management. Therefore, I don't think webtrees can use the same email management as your other softwares.
Do you have a valid email@yourdomainname.xxx ?
Do you use a "group_email" address for your Vtiger and/or Feng Office ?
What exactly are your email settings for these two other softwares?

According to the Wiki page of your webhost, the smtp settings should be
www.kinghost.com.br/wiki/doku.php/e-mail
Nome do servidor = smtp.buchmann.kinghost.net
Porta = 587

Fisharebest, you mean to do this with my gmail or own domain? On sending server name, you mean, typing "bc.adm.br", for example?
Attached my Feng Office config that works well.
Thks.

Would you change
Sending server name (the last line) = [strike]the URL of your site[/strike] www.bc.adm.br/genealogiabuchmann/

Perhaps a silly question.. but what do you have in the field « webtrees reply address » in
Administration -> Family trees -> your family tree -> General tab -> section Contact information
Is there a valid email address ?
