I was updating one of my ancestors and now his family is linked to Me.
I just upgraded to 1.7.12
I looked in the database but can not find how we are linked.
I click on his or his wife's account an I am not there, but under my account i have Family with the wire.

There are links from individuals to families (FAMC, FAMS) and links from families to individuals (HUSB, WIFE, CHIL).

These should occur in pairs. e.g. for every FAMC there should be a CHIL in the reverse direction. For every FAMS there should be a HUSB/WIFE in the reverse direction.

Perhaps you have a broken (one direction) link? Use the "check for errors" link in the control panel to find these.

If not, then go to the family record with the extra individual, and use the "change family members" to remove the wrong link.

I tried to fix, now when i run CHeck for Errors i have
Fam F1 has HUSB link to I2, I2 does not have a link back to F1.

F1 is my first wife and kids.
I was going to try and add Wife from existing record, but the first time i tried that i got two marriages to the same person, my second wife.
What am i doing wrong?
How do i link back I2 to F1?

Go to the family F1

Edit -> Change family members

Add I2

If you continue to experience problems:
F1 shows you as the 'husb' and the gedcom for F1 includes this line -
1 HUSB @I2@
To balance that entry:
The gedcom for I2 (you) should show you are a spouse of F1 and the gedcom for I2 should include this line -
1 FAMS @F1@
The gedcom for I2 can be manually edited - "Edit the raw gedcom" - to add the above line if necessary.
Editing the raw gedcom requires a sound understanding of the gedcom is NOT recommended for beginners.

Thanks,
I had also created a duplicate family adding to the mix.
Been a long time since I messed with gedcom. the Editor makes it easy to know what your a going to change.
Just check twice and cross check before changing and one change at time.
