Hello, when I try to export a gedcom file, the download screen shows
plain text document (0 bytes)
I wonder if I'm missing something.

webtrees 1.7.11

Any error messages in either the webtrees error log or the webserver error log?

Thanks Greg
Web service provider says there are no errors. Can't see any errors in webtrees.

Well, an error has definitely occured, and the lack of error message makes diagnosing the problem difficult...

There are two "export" options - save on the server and download to your computer. Are both broken?

Yes, I get zero data with both functions. Regarding webtree error logs, I see there are many options, which should I be looking at?
OK, a little perseverance and:-
/customers/e/f/a/lancasterfamilyhistory.co.uk/httpd.www/webtrees/app/Functions/FunctionsExport.php:112 Call to a member function getFirstFact() on null
#0 /app/Functions/FunctionsExport.php:200 Error("Call to a member function getFirstFact() on null")
#1 /admin_trees_download.php:91 exportGedcom([Tree], [resource], [array])

That's a helpful error message ;-)

It indicates that you do not have a GEDCOM header record ("HEAD") in your tree.

This would be unusual - webtrees won't import a tree unless it can find this header record.

Have you done anything to your database that might have deleted records from the wt_other table?

You may be able to recover this by inserting a row into the wt_other table with values

o_id = 'HEAD'
o_gedcom = '0 HEAD'
o_file = the ID number for this tree, which you'll find in the wt_gedcom table.

Thanks again, no, haven't tinkered with the database.
The only major events have been the original import from phpgedview some time ago and a recent upgrade to 1.7.11
I have three sets of tables in the database(wt_, wt2_ and wtx), how can I current set?
I'll try the fix
