Bonjour,

J'ai décidé de sécuriser mon domaine par une connexion https avec un certificat SSL.
Mais webtrees réalise des redirections en http et je ne parvient pas à changer celle-ci en https dans les options de mon site webtrees.
Comment faire ?
Merci

Hello,

I decided to secure my area by a https connection with an SSL certificate.
But webtrees performs redirects to http and I can not change it in the options https my site webtrees.
How to do ?
Thank you

1) Did you set an HTTP address here:

Control panel -> Website -> Website preferences -> Website URL

2) Is your server configured to tell PHP that the request is HTTPS?

Create phpinfo.php containing this, and visit it using HTTPS.
<?php phpinfo(INFO_VARIABLES); ?>

Do you see:

_SERVER["HTTPS"] = on
_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"] = 443

Hello,

In "Control panel -> Website -> Website preferences -> Website URL" I had put "www.balwina.fr/webtrees" some months ago, but now I can not change.

Why can not I change the adress ?

In phpinfo I have :

_SERVER["HTTPS"] on
_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"] 80

Thank you

> Why can not I change the adress ?

Because
1) if you select an incorrect value, you will not be able to access your site
2) we cannot test to see if the value is invalid.

So, you can only select nothing (auto-detect) or the current URL.

If (like 99% of users) you no not need this setting, then leave it blank.

> _SERVER["SERVER_PORT"] 80

This seems wrong. With HTTPS, you should use port 443.

For anybody making the change to SSL / HTTPS, note you will need to actively set the Website URL under Website Preferences in order for the webtrees sitemap to display the HTTPS version of your web pages in individual sitemap files (otherwise the http:// version is displayed)

@Tel -you shouldn't need to do this. I don't do it on the demo server. See

dev.webtrees.net/demo-dev/module.php?mod...ate&file=sitemap.xml

The sitemap files are cached for 14 days, so if you've upgraded from http:// to https:// recently, then you may be serving old sitemap files.

Okay, thanks Greg. Made the switch today, hence why I'm still seeing the http:// cached version of the master sitemap. Clearing the cache via webtrees does not appear to clear the cached sitemap. I don't see it as an issue though, just a comment.
