With a few adjustments 1.7.3 worked on Lollipop (Samsung S6) for occasional portable browsing. Updated to Marshmallow and have
#0 ...unknown error ("file_put_contents...GB-cache.php...failed to open stream:
#1 /app/I18N...file_put-contents()
#2 /includes/session.php:418 init()
#3 /login.php: 30 require()

(above abbreviated)

The webserver/mysql/php looks OK and the above are flagging a webtrees error. At this point am considering a reinstall of the KSweb package but before proceeding any suggestions as regards the above?

Thanks Dave

I am a little curious about your phone, my S6 is at 5.5.1, did you do a custom ROM?

For what its worth, I have tested 1.7.4 with both a Samsung S6 (5.5.1) and a Nexus 5x (6.0.1) and both work.

Solved after going through the setup options. Marshmallow has rebuilt the filesystem and what was /storage/emulated/legacy/ is now /sdcard/. Hope this helps other users. At first use the Android UI with 1.7.4 (as part of the rebuild I updated 1.7.3) is much improved - no text overflows outside of portrait frames - much tidier.
