Lost HTML block in Customize this page was created by moondyne
I created a HTML block with a heap of text and links for my home page and saved it and all good.
The next day I apparently deleted it by clicking the right arrow, intending only to temporarily hide it.
I then selected HTML from available blocks and pressed the left arrow it created a new empty HTML block.
Is there a way to recover my lost HTML block?

Yes. Just grab a copy from one of your backups. There should be three:
The one of your database and files your web host keeps for you.
The database backup you create for yourself regularly, especially when making a lot of changes.
The local copy you made of your long (and therefore critical ) text HTML block entry.

Lacking all of these, then no, you're stuffed and have just taught yourself a valuable lesson.

Hi,

Your webhost may have a backup of your database.. ask him?

I make a backup of my site once a month, and have a mirror copy in my computer. I also have PDF documents of all my HTML blocks just in case of problems. The other day, I deleted a FAQ by error and I was glad to retrieve it in my mirror copy. :-)

ps: Nigel busted me ! ;-)
