webtrees 1.7.6
I saw this error in my Website logs:

/var/www/webtrees/app/Report/ReportParserBase.php:36 Call to undefined function Fisharebest\Webtrees\Report\xml_parser_create()
#0 /reportengine.php:136 Error("Call to undefined function Fisharebest\Webtrees\Report\xml_parser_create()")

Any ideas

Thanks

Looks like an issue with PHP 7.x
bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=820475

Could you test what happens if in line 36 of ReportParserBase.php you call xml_parser_create('UTF-8') instead of xml_parser_create()
Perhaps the encoding is made a required parameter
php.net/manual/en/function.xml-parser-create.php

OK... Possible cause is the xml parser extension is not installed in your PHP instance.
See php.net/manual/en/xml.requirements.php

Could you go in webtrees to the Control Panel, under the tab Website chose Server Information.
On that page search (Ctrl-F) for libxml

I see roughly the following on my server (still PHP 5.6)
PHP Version x
Configure Command: [...] '--with-libxml-dir=/usr/local/lib'

DOM
libxml Version 2.9.4

LIBXML
libXML support active
libXML Compiled Version 2.9.4
libXML Loaded Version 20904
libXML streams enabled

XML
libxml2 Version 2.9.4

XSL
libxslt compiled against libxml Version 2.9.2

So your Configure Command does not include '--with-libxml-dir' ??
I'll leave it further to the PHP config gurus...
