Extracting by chosen city was created by nicolefrancois
Hi,

I have a 2 365 000 peoples DB and working very well with webtrees.

I need to extract all the data from a specific city ( all the people involved, the medias and the source ). and export it in GEDCOM

Do you Know a way to do it ? maybe it is more a question of GEDCOM manipulation than a webtrees application... But maybe someone in this forum can help me .

Thanks

Nico

Lists > Place Hierarchy > (place name) will give you all the individuals with events in that location.

You can extract the individuals using the clippings cart, but you would need to write your own software for more than a few dozen. You don't state your objective, so it's difficult to determine the amount of time & effort warranted.

I have the mandate to build a genealogical database for a particular municipality, and I have half the data already on my database. I only want to extract this data to be able to use it on the new database. It's about maybe 2000 peoples.

Thanks
