Earlier the sorting of the box "upcoming events" was from the most recent event to the next. But now it is no longer sorted. The indicator shows that it should be sorted.
Whats wrong here?

See screenshot.

The dates are sorted by "event date".

It would make more sense to sort by "anniversary date".

I have updated this.

No, it should sorted by date and there by day (and not by year). It is a table for upcoming events!

My opinion. In 1.7.8 it works right.

Today is 2 January.

So, my upcoming events shows anniversaries that occur between 3-9 January.

IMHO, the anniveraries of 3 January should come before the anniversaries of 4 January.

If you want the events in chronological order, you can still sort by the third column (anniversary).

In the current code, both columns sorted the same way.
In the next release, the columns will sort differently.

Hi,

right: upcoming event should show upcoming events in cronological order.

When I sort the third column, I get the 3rd Jan as first and as last entry... look:

Ok. But the displayed screenshot is sort by year and not by day.

look to my first entry - this is sorted by date. As I have no column for the day and month without year, I can not sort it.

In the current code, columns 2 and 3 both sort this way.

In the new code, column 2 sorts by day only.

Would you happen to remember which file(s) need to be updated manually in order to fix the issue before the next release?

Sorry but I`ve just installed webtrees 1.7.12 and it seems to not solved yet.

My Upcoming events list still ordering by complete date (year/month/day).

Is there any configuration that I can do to fix it?

Best regards
