Are individual immortal in webtrees? was created by bigwidower
Hi,
If the "Age at which to assume an individual is dead" is set to 100, how can someone born at the date "about 1500" be considered as still living for the statistics?
Is there another way to fix a maximum longevity?
Thanks

The 100 years is used for the privacy calculations.
These calculations are slow. We couldn't do them on every individual in your database to calculate the statistics.
There is, however, a batch-update job. It will find all individuals who are older than this age, and add a "1 DEAT Y" record to them.
This will exclude them from the longevity statistics.

"Age at which to assume an individual is dead" is part of the privacy controls and works with the other privacy settingss to determine which of your visitors is allowed to see that individual.
The Statistics are somewhat separate. However, you will note that with the default settings, the "oldest living individual" statistics are not shown to general visitors.

You may find that it actually completed many updates before it ran out of memory/cpu.
Check the changes log.
If so, just keep repeating the process.
