Hello together,

this question is for version 1.7.9, like 1.7.10.

In the settings for a user, it is possible to tick:
Changes
Automatically accept changes made by this user

Normally, any changes made to a family tree need to be reviewed by a moderator. This option allows a user to make changes without needing a moderator.

Strangely, it also works with a file where the user is registered as an admin. Changes to an admin should always be accepted! Not just because of a small cross. That would be important, if this user is entered in another file only as an editor, where another admin or moderator pays attention to the changes.

Can it be that a flag for changes to be confirmed is mapped to an incorrect file? A user who is admin of his file got the message to confirm changes in another file:
Es warten ausstehende Änderungen auf Ihre Moderation.
datenpool.bvff.de/index.php?ged=uebermuth (= File #78)
Diese Nachricht wurde gesendet, während die folgende Internetadresse angezeigt wurde: datenpool.bvff.de/individual.php?pid=I1077&ged=Neuber (= File # 76)
Best regards

> A user who is admin of his file got the message to confirm changes in another file:

The "administrator" role applies to the entire site.

There is no "administrator" for trees. The highest level is "manager".

The "accept changes automatically" setting applies to the user - and hence applies to all trees.

Sorry Greg, thats my mistake.

He is the moderator of his file. But he gets the message that changes are to be confirmed, if not ticked, that his changes should be accepted automatically.

The mail rejects to another file!

If I understand you correctly, then this is correct.

Automatically accepting changes is connect to the user.
It is not connected to the role (member/editor/moderator/manager) of a tree.

If the "Automatically accepting changes " is not ticked to a user, who is moderator of his file, than he has to accept his own changes. OK. I thought it would go straight too.

Could you please say something else, why then in the mail with the reference to changes another file was specified?
Best regards

When there are changes, an email is sent to everyone who has permission to accept the changes.

This includes the admin of the site, and the managers/moderators of the tree.

Does this user have access to this other tree?

No.
The changes in file 75 were made by the moderator of this file.
Changes were reported in the file 78. There he is only a visitor.
