Export to GEDCOM with the provided Excel macro.
Never used that, but it should be possible.

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20

Not sure if this is of any help but I’ve used the free software GRAMPS to import a csv genealogy file into the software and then export it to a GEDCOM 5.5.1 file to be imported into webtrees. The csv file has to have a specific format to be imported to GRAMPS, see: gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps..._with_multiple_areas .

Maybe it is easier to use GedTool: gedtool.de/index.php/en/
GedTool converts csv to GEDCOM and vice versa.

Download the software GRAMPS but install error
Try the portable version: portableapps.com/apps/education/gramps_portable

• webtrees 2.0.19 (later 2.0.x versions have a different markdown implementation)
  + XAMPP 8.2.12 with PHP 7.4.33 + Rural theme + Vesta Classic L&F & Ext. Relationships + other modules
• latest webtrees 2.1.x (only for testing and presentation) + PHP 8.2.x

Extract 'GrampsPortable_5.1.5.paf.exe' with 7-zip (or another archive manager) to a new folder (you can remove the $PLUGINSDIR folder) and run GrampsPortable.exe from there.

I can install the software, but I can't convert the CSV file into it

I was under the impression you had an Excel file edited with gedtool, but apparently that is not the case. webtrees only imports proper GEDCOM files. So lets start from the beginning.

Where did you get the file from? Can you share the first few lines?
csv is plain text, use notepad.exe to open it.

If you want to use Gramps for csv import you need to make sure that your csv file is set up like Gramps expects the file to be configured, using the field names that Gramps recognises, see example below (file viewed in a text editor, like Notepad):
Code:
,,,, "Person","Firstname","Lastname",”Birthdate”, 1,"Peter","Blank",”22 JAN 1970”, 2,"Anna Maria","Blank",”22 FEB 1970”, 3,"Georg","Schmidt",”22 MAR 1980”, 4,"Barbara","Schmidt",”22 APR 1980”, 5,"Johann","Blank", ” 22 MAY 1990”, 6,"Fides","Blank",”22 JUN 1991”, 7,"Sebastian","Schmidt",”22 AUG 2000”, 8,"Magdelena","Schmidt",”22 SEP 2001”, ,,, "Marriage","Husband","Wife","Date" "A",1,2,"28 jan 1990" "B",3,4,"4 may 2000" ,,, "Family","Child","Child", "A",5,6, "B",7,8,

More detailed information can be found at this path, including proper field names, CSV import

If your csv file isn’t configured as Gramps expects it to be for proper import then it will fail. Field names need to be in accordance with Gramps csv field names so you may need to make changes to you csv file for this to work. Always make a copy of your original csv file and only make changes to the copy file to test this. This may require several trials on your part before it works so you fully understand how this Gramps import process functions. It took me awhile to get it to work as I wanted. A simple csv test file is included in the above guidance from Gramps to better test this import function.

Maybe the GEDtool is better to handle csv import, as suggested by Hermann, I haven’t tried it though.

Order the Shareware version of GedTool (for free), read the manual (in particular chapter 5) and have a look to the example files. Questions about GedTool can be placed in the GedTool-Forum or direct to the author. See gedtool.de
