If you need to upgrade your PGV installation, then hopefully you will also consider that you can conveniently move to webtrees with our PGV-to-webtrees wizard. It will move ALL your users, news, favorites and family trees to webtrees in a matter of minutes.

I'm presuming that you ran the PGV->webtrees migration tool, and created new tables for webtrees. By default, these would start with wt_
If so, then yes you can delete these tables.

Since it was many years, perhaps 10 years or so, since I did the upgrade from PGV to webtrees there is no way I can remember if I ran a specific script or not. However, I do have a some 30 or so tables starting with wt_ in the database.
