Question PDF reports

The last couple of months I have work quite a lot with the report engine to get new reports that suits me better than the old ones.

I started with the pedigree report and after a complete rewrite I now have a version family_tree that can display up to 8 generation on paper A2 in Landscape mode! Names should also now be adapted to the space available, i.e. truncated instead of overwriting other information.
By the way, US paper formats are supported correctly.

The ahnentafel and descendency report had a lot in common but different layout so I merged them into one report: family_history. Main features: a new and hopefully better layout and usage of fonts; facts and events are sorted chronologically, not by type; notes are printed because they can contain interesting details; an indication of relation to the start person is given after the name (m=mother, f=farther, x=brother or sister, s=son, d=daughter, h=husband, w=wife, e.g. mmf=mother's mother's farther, sw=son's wife, et c.)

The individual_ext_report also got the indication of relation to the start person.

They are now three different modules because I can't figure out how to put three reports in one module!

These extensions require some modifications in the XML parser, ReportParserGenerate.php.

Looks very nice! I’ve been waiting for a rewrite of the reporting module ever since v2.0 of webtrees was introduced, but other user based requests have taken precedence.

Yes, the report modules should be modernized and revised.
A selection option of the fields to be displayed would be desirable.

I also hope that there will be some progress with rewrting the report engine.

I love the family_history report.

I have a few questions . . .
1. Does the report have an option to skip living individuals?
2. Has there been any updates to the report?
3. Are to modifications to the php files contained in the patches file?

1. No such option is included, but I added it to a wish list
2. No updates since February, these versions are attached in case you missed them
3. Yes, the patched php files are included in the file new-reports.zip, they are ok to use with all new versions of webtrees.

A quick look at the trace dump suggests to me that the image file might be corrupt. I will try to destroy an image and see if I get the same result.

Looks fabulous.. I will make some suggestions when I have played a bit more and understand better..

One thing I do not quite understand is the (x) (xs) (ssd) 'things' alongside most peoples names in some of the reports..

Perhaps a Reference Page to explain these to a lay person might be a good idea??

Ich habe gerade mal nur die new-Modules in Version 1.0.1 heruntergeladen, aber über Fehlermeldungen bin ich nicht hinausgekommen.

Vielleicht muss man die Webtrees  - Änderungen auch noch installieren, die es dann vermutlich nur in einer älteren Version gibt.

Vielleicht hat Seved aufgegeben oder er ist soweit mit seinen Änderungen zufrieden?

Die Testversion läuft auf webtrees 2.1.18, also schon etwas älter.

Family-history is a very good module, but unfortunately it does not support Chinese.

a few minutes ago sevtor pushed a new version to his github repo github.com/sevtor/modules

will test this later this day...

sorry, I did not see the prerequisits for the new modules: one has to replace some of the original webtrees files (included in the new-reports.zip). So I hesitate with exchange.
