Thanks a lot Bert! for now we will add the unrelated persons, but i will keep your bypass in my mind.
other questions that pops up; we have noticed that the imported sources are quite a mess (which is our own fault), after some discussion we have decided that the easiest way is to delete all sources and re-add them manually. (we want to check every person anyways, and doing it right now the first time will help us in the future).
is there any easy way to delete all the sources at once, i haven't found it yet?

Perhaps i'm doing something wrong, but hopefully you can help me
we have decided to export all the information from myheritage, and import into webtrees, after that i cleaned up the sources database.
We are now manually editing all the entries with the right information, sources and so on.
It seems that when editing a record i can only add 1 related person, then i have to save, reopen the edit menu and then i have the possibillity to add another related person.
in my opinion it would be more logical, and definitly less time consuming if a new row related person will automatically appear as soon information is entered in the previous related person field.
is the above a bug, is it intended design or do i have found a feature request?

The forms for adding spouses, parents and children are all different. Default values for names, marriage fields, etc.
To add a new individual, you need to specifiy which individual you are linking from, and which type of relationship.
You currently do this by clicking the appropriate link from an existing individual.
I don't see how we could reduce the number of clicks/steps, as you need to select the relationship before webtrees can generate the edit form.
