Question Login problem

Hello.

My webtrees address:  falchhanssen.net/slektstre

Its a long time since I last updated my family tree, and when I now try to login i get this error message: Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in /customers/2/4/7/falchhanssen.net/httpd.www/slektstre/login.php on line 246.

What to do?

I guess that I have to make a fresh installation of webtrees, but is there something to do to keep the data I have already in my family tree? Is it enough to make a copy of the databasetables?

Finally: how do I find what version of webtrees im using?

The error message suggests that your server is running PHP 7.4 (or higher) while the webtrees code is v1.7 which is built for a prior PHP version. Presumably yourvhosting provider has upgraded PHP. Sometimes with the hosting control panel you can switch back.

Or make a backup of all data and upgrade webtrees (manually) to 2.1.
Themes and modules need to be updated as well, try without these first.
