Social Security Number was created by mac.alter
The Social security number webtrees form asks for Date and Place. When using the source "U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index" the only dates given are for birth and death. Place is only place of birth. Parents names are also shown.

The Social security number webtrees form asks for Date and Place. When using the source "Social Security Death Index" the dates given are issue date and issue place in addition to date of death and last residence.

I use the same option for both sources as webtrees (and other) restricts the SSN number, although Ancestry includes in transcription now. (Think they blocked it for awhile to curb fraudulent use.)

What is the "proper" GEDCOM for each of these sources?

1 SSN 2743-436-40
2 SOUR @ X124@ (Social Security Applications and Claims Index)

and
1 SSN 2743-436-40
2 SOUR @ X124@ (Social Security Death Index)

It (the source) would be the place where you found the SSN for the individual.  Many sources exist for the same information.  If you have access to the actual card, the card would be the source.

> The Social security number webtrees form asks for Date and Place.

All GEDCOM facts & events can have a date & place. I don't think there are exceptions made.
But these are optional, it's fine to leave it empty.

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20
