Visibility restrictions was created by tomaslostak
Hello,
here is my situation:
I would like to confirm specific user account and I'm going to assign to him the editor role. He has a lots of informations about specific branch. But I want to keep him off another specific branch, because I don't want he could see any info in that branch. Splitting the tree would be so difficult and unuseful.
Is there any way how to handle this situation?
Thank you.
Tom

WIthin the same tree, you can apply restrictions to *living* individuals (i.e. only closely-related). But you cannot apply restrictions to one branch of the tree.

I also hope to have this function to prevent people with permissions from editing unnecessary information.Hello,

Preventing a single person or set of people from changing data is not within the scope of webtrees. You should read this information it will give you insight into what you can do with webtrees!

There are two modes:
- see something
- edit something.
For the first Greg gave you an answer. For editing: I allow some of my users to edit, but accept the changes only by me personally.
