Question Shortening of names in some lists

In some charts and lists the names are shortened so the full name do not break the layout.

In my tree I have some aristocrats with very long names. For example this name 

Is displayed in this way:
 
or 
 

Not to mention when a person have 3-5 given names. 

For me the shortening of the name should preserve the Surname and the first (or marked) Given name. It is acceptable for me not to display the name suffix and preffix.

My question - is there a possibility to change the way the shortening is made? Ideal as a modul, that will  handle the way how the shortening is made.



 

Looks like you are using magicsunday's charts. In the module administraton for these charts, there is a setting for "Name abbreviation when space is tight"
