Start over function for admins was created by WGroleau
With so much development going on, could there be added a page requiring an admin login, that has a button to drop all tables in the DB and launch setup again.
The last two snapshots have given me
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'INFO_GTSC_TNG1.wt_module_setting' doesn't exist' in /<path>/webtrees/includes/classes/class_wt_db.php:396 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: PDOStatement->execute(Array) #1 /<path>/webtrees/includes/classes/class_wt_db.php(396): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #2 [internal function]: WT_DBStatement->__call('execute', Array) #3 /<path>/webtrees/includes/functions/functions_db.php(2669): WT_DBStatement->execute(Array) #4 /<path>/webtrees/modules/lightbox/lb_defaultconfig.php(55): get_module_setting('lightbox', 'LB_ENABLED', '1') #5 /<path>/webtrees/index.php(111): require('/home/content/G...') #6 {main} thrown in /<path>/webtrees/includes/classes/class_wt_db.php on line 396
Not that it's hard to do it in SQL Admin, but …

We're hoping we are reaching the end of regular DB drops and new tables, but this is something that will undoubtedly happen again as we all discuss the existing features and the enhancement thereto. Certainly the PLAC restructuring may require it as wel, although perhaps we can release v1 with the future tables included. We are currently discussing possible release schedules and tentatively it is expected by early-to-mid August.
Greg and others that make changes requiring DB drop have always responsibly posted so in the Announcements forum, so there should be no guessing. Personally, I think to add a feature as you suggest, even on a temporary basis, would simply add more work than is necessary. We wish to have most of these issues on tables resolved as we don't want to create support issues with users/admins who may not have as good a grasp on DB management as say you do - hence why the release is scheduled for later than sooner. Hope this helps explain.

I agree with Stephen. But the Announcement he referred to is not publicly available, so we should certainly remember to mention it here either instead or as well, on the hopefully few occasions now that it will be necessary.
