webtrees 2.2? was created by ekdahl
Just out of curiosity:
What are the main changes between 2.1 and the main branch?
What fixes/features are remaining to be fixed/added before a release can be made?
(Edit)
Could it be visualized in the issue tracker on GitHub, which issues needs to be resolved before a particular release?
With e.g. labels or milestones.
BR,
Fredrik Ekdahl

The main branch has updated third-party libaries and uses PHP 8.2 features.
The 2.1 branch uses old (and unsupported) third-party libraries because it needs to support PHP 7.4
I think the only "fix" in main that is not in 2.1 is the auto-rotation of images, because the fix comes in a library version that won't run on PHP 7.4

Ok, so what is stopping a release from the main branch and move on to using the updated libraries and newer PHP features?
Just trying to understand, as it's not clear to me what remains to be done/solved before a release can be made.

As far as I know, there is a upstream library with a (fixed?) bug in the auto-rotation which needs to be released before Greg can release 2.2.
