Upgrading from 2.0.25 to 2.0.26 was created by artipax
Hi,
I tried upgrading from 2.0.25 to 2.0.26 using the automatic and manual method. Both seem to have been applied without issues, except that my version remains to be 2.0.25 and therefore I still get a message that a new version 2.0.26 is available.

What I really want to do is to ultimately upgrade to 2.1.18 but I'm not sure I can do that from 2.0.25.

Any help will be appreciated. Apologies if this has been covered before, I did a cursory search of issues upgrading from 2.0.25 to 2.0.26 but didn't get any hit.

There are a few important changes from 2.0 to 2.1. Check the German webtrees manual , please. Maybe your browser translate function can help you to read that page.

There are changes (else Greg did not switch the number from 2.0 to 2.1), but you can update without knowing them in advance.

OK, for the customising modules, you have all to use in a compatible version. But that is self- evident.

I tried upgrading to 2.1 manually and quickly realised that Ubuntu 18.04 uses PHP 7.3 and this webtrees version requires > 7.3. So I guess it's time for me to upgrade to a newer Ubuntu LTS before I upgrade my webtrees.

Success. I upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, PHP 8.2 and my webtrees 2.1.8 upgrade got sorted.

Cheers.
