change directory of media files was created by mariannevanharten
Recently I imported a gedcom into 2.1. Now I see the base directory (the prefix of the setting at Preferences - General - media folders) where the media files should be saved is wrong. I am not able to find where I can change the directory.
Who can help me?
Best regards,
Marianne

Hello, I am very new to webtrees and may not know what I am talking about
I am also using version 2.0.17 and not version 2.1
There was some discussion on this forum topic

When you import a GEDCOM from another program, you have the option to remove the path to the media files that the program that created the GEDCOM was using.
Also perhaps I do not understand the question and my reply is off the target. But I try

@RBaker, thanks for your reply.
My gedcom only has a relative path to the media files (only 'document/deed.jpg'). So, that's not the problem.

Me thinks you have no other choice than to delete the tree, change the media folder in Preferences - General - media folders (which affects all the trees on your site if you have multiple) and then import the GEDCOM again.
stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20

No need to delete the tree.
Recommendation: If you installed webtrees in a folder named wt, then change the data folder to ../wt-data/ which will separate code from data.

... the base directory (the prefix of the setting at Preferences - General - media folders) ...
No need to delete the tree.
- Go to Control Panel > Website Preferences and change the "Data Folder". This will affect all trees.
- Make sure you move all subfolders and files from the old data folder to the new data folder.
