Hello,
I installed a version 2.1.0-beta1 in localhost, on my PC, with this configuration : Apache/2.4.37 (Win64) PHP/7.4.28 MariaDB/10.3.12 Wampserver
I created a "test" tree, then I tried to import a gedcom file of 3642 Kb and including 5516 individuals, from "my computer".
I got the error "The uploaded file exceeds the allowed size".
However, by copying the gedcom file into the "data" folder and importing the file from "the server", it worked fine.
Is this normal?

error message :
There was an error uploading your file.<br>
Filename: arbre complet.ged<br>
The uploaded file exceeds the allowed size. …\app\Http\RequestHandlers\ImportGedcomAction.php:85
... etc.

Bonjour,
J'ai obtenu l'erreur "The uploaded file exceeds the allowed size".

This is a limit of your server.

If you can modify your server configuration (php.ini), then you need to increase two settings

post_max_size
upload_max_filesize

> Is this normal?

Yes! This process exists for users who cannot upload large files.

Greg,

Greg,
Thank you for your explanations. So it's a problem similar to the one encountered with version 2.0. I will ask my host if it can be improved (for my online site), but I don't have much hope... The method of recopy in the data folder is indeed a very good workaround !
Have a nice day.

p.s. DeepL is indeed a very good translation site for the French language. A German friend told me that it is also very good with the German language.

This "example" module might help in overriding these php server settings:
github.com/webtrees/example-module-server-config

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20

This is a known bug in 2.1.0-beta.1

It will be fixed for the next release.
