CPU and Memory usage spikes in 2.1.18

CPU and Memory usage spikes in 2.1.18 was created by Leo2
After upgrade to v2.1.18 I often experience overload of hosting resources, What modules can be switched off in the control panel to make the WT less resources consuming?
Support says that there is a plenty of lsphp processes.
Also, how to be sure the WT uses Imagick instead of GD? (both are 'on' in my server). And is it possible to generate thumbnails for external images? Currently the URL images are not scaled even.
PHP Version 8.1.27
Server API LiteSpeed V8.1 Cloudlinux 1.3
imagick module enabled
imagick module version 3.7.0
