Bonjour !
In my ancestors, there are many individuals - including myself - with 3 or 4 or more given names, the first one not being the one used in eveyday's life. Examples :
  • I'm André François Charles, but, as there are 15+ men with André as their first given name, I'm always referred to as François
  • My father : André Frédéric Pierre Emmanuel = Frédéric
  • My GGF : André Albert Joseph = André
  • ...
My former genealogy software advised to mark the usual given name between quotes. It's rather ugly, and it doesn't help when searching for a specific individual.
Is there a way to do this in webtrees : usual name can easily be determined / Not messing with searches ?
Any idea welcome !
François

If you place an asterisk after one of the given names, it will be shown underlined e.g.

Jean Paul* /du Pont/

Quote marks are used to indicate nicknames. e.g.

Jack "The Hat" /McVitie/
