Bonjour !
I have 4 cases of children born and not recognized by one of their parents or both.
And, sometimes, the parent recognizes the child, several days or even months later.
How can this kind of event be created ? Or can it ?
All ideas welcome !

I think the event you are looking for is called "Adoption" in webtrees. It's probably a good idea to add a note for clarification.

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20

Bonjour, Bertkoor !
You may be right, but, in France, adoption is something very specific : a child (or even an adult) can be adopted by a couple or an single person, which are not his biological parents.
Reconnaissance is usually done by a mother, a father or both, who denied recognition of their child, at birth, although it's their own.
Thanks anyway for your answer.

When a specific event isn't available you can create your own using the generic event option. I'd just select 'Event' and enter something like:

This will display in the Facts and events tab as:

webtrees v2.1.21
PHP v8.3.12

You can also add the father as an associate to the event.

This way the event will also be shown on his page.

Or you can do it the other way around. Add an event to the father (together with an association with the child).
