Can't link user to their record was created by nickt
I added a user to my install and I'm trying to link the user to their record in the family tree. No matter what I type in the "Individual Record" field when editing the user, the system tells me "No results found." I'm running webtrees 2.1.20
Any suggestions? I'm guessing I have some index missing or similar problem. I have maybe 8 other users whom I had added long ago and all worked well.
thanks!

Do you get the same thing (no results) when using the individual lookkup in other places. e.g. when selecting the root individual for a chart?

Yes, I'm no longer seeing completion work on any part of the site, but when I clicked on some users who did have a completed link in my user list, it does still show their name in the drop-down menu.
I also have 7 people in my family tree (out of several hundred) for whom I get an error about:
Invalid GEDCOM tag. INDI:BIRT:DATE:TIME
when I run the "Check for errors" command under Manage Family Trees. As far as I remember, I didn't ever use any tool other than webtrees, but it's possible that one of my other users once did some export/import for part of the tree. Could that be related?

Thank you. I have searched for why I can't link the user to an account, and didn't find anything, which is why I made this post. I am guessing some index on my database isn't right, but not sure how to fix it.

I did mean
That is often talked about in this forum.
That is no error and does not produce errors.
Code:
Invalid GEDCOM tag. INDI:BIRT:DATE:TIME
That is no error and does not produce errors.

Can you follow the instructions here to see if you can find a helpful error message.
webtrees.net/faq/xhr/
Or, if there's a public page on your site that has a dropdown (e.g. one of the charts?) then post the URL and we can have a look.

I don't see anything suspicious there. In fact, I don't see any XHR responses when I went to the page to edit the user. Is it supposed to send the request when I type in some characters? I don't see any network activity once I start typing.
My site is published on the web but mostly useless to people without an account, but I can temporarily make you an account and an admin, if that would be of help (and you're willing to look at this)
thank you!
