Images from Heredis Gedcom error 404 was created by Halloy
Hi,
I imported a Gedcom created with Heredis into Webtrees. All images are with 404 error. The path to the repertory is not good : the links point to my hard drive. How can I export a Gedcom from Heredis to have images in webtrees ? To export the Gedcom from Heredis, in Data to be Exported, Media is checked. is it necessary to check also Create a folder for media ?
Sorry, I'm webmaster, not genealogist
Thanks a lot !

Have a look into the exported file to see how the export is done!
Perhaps you can give a sample export.
I suppose, there are no images exported! (see help.heredis.com/en/export-a-gedcom/ ) . In the following images I see a checkbox for media and a subcheckbox for creating a directory for media:
So you can get media in a separate dir. That may be a dir relative to the configured data-dir of webtrees.

I don't use Heredis, so can't comment on it's functions, but you can definitely fix it during import. A similar issue was discussed quite recently. There's a screenshot of the GEDCOM import dialog of webtrees posted here:
www.webtrees.net/index.php/forum/help-fo...dcom-geneanet#104325
The general idea is that pictures have no path specified in the GEDCOM file, and they are all sitting in the data/media directory of webtrees.

When you import the GEDCOM file, I think that you need to use the option "Remove media paths"

Sorry, I forgot to reply.
Thanks for your reply. I found where to use the option in webtrees to remove the old media path and it works fine now.
Thanks a lot !
