I have to search for godparents / godfather in webtrees. I want to know for which persons a selected person is godfather. There are two possible ways to find this in GEDCOM - see below. Now I want to search for I75 and see, where this person is associated to, withouth searching the raw GEDCOM file.

Is this possible?

1 BAPM
2 PLAC someplace, country
2 ASSO @I75@
3 RELA godparent
2 DATE .....
2 _ASSO @I30@
3 RELA godfather

I couldn't get "Advanced Search" to find the string "2 ASSO" either.
However, it does work if I use "Search and Replace" in Control panel > Manage family trees > Data fixes

Write the string you're looking for in the "Search text/pattern" box, such as "2 ASSO" or "2 ASSO @I75@" or "3 RELA godparent" etc
Don't bother supplying anything in the "Replacement text" box,
Then click on the SEARCH button (not UPDATE ALL), and you will find a list of matching individuals.

drblam gave the correct answer on how to find godparent relations using search in webtrees.

You can mark the option "Associated events" in the head of the tab "Facts and Events" of an individual page in webtrees (is this core of webtrees or a function of the Vesta custom modules?). Then you will see where your person I75 is associated to.

One additional remark: in your example "2 ASSO @I75@" is not legal GEDCOM, because ASSO is not allowed on level 2 under events. It is only allowed on level 1. Therefore _ASSO is the only possibility by using a custom GEDCOM tag.
