REFN was created by SteveGermany
I am using the REFN field as an important reference in our family tree and renamed "SB-Number".
I get some strange effects when this is displayed and maybe I've set up something incorrectly.
On the "Families" tab, when I click on an individual, the SB-Number appears twice - see image.
Also, on the facts and events tab, under SB-Number, the number of the other partner is displayed instead of the spouse. ie. the selected person is say 24/B5 and the wife is listed as the same number but should be 24/B5! as in the Gedcom file.
Can anyone help with this.

Can you use the "Clippings cart" to copy these individuals to a new tree?
Edit them to remove names and then share this GEDCOM data with us.
It's hard to guess when we can't see what is happening.

I imported your tree in webtrees. You can see it at
ahnentest.hartenthaler.eu/index.php?route=%2Ftree%2Ftree8
I can see the REFN in the sidebar as it should be, but I cannot follow your observations. You have modified some things, like renaming REFN, and made other changes. It would be better to import your tree into your system and let us play there.
I observed two (independent) problems with your data:
- AGE 68J is not correct (if J indicates the German "Jahre", you should replace all those records with "AGE 68y")
- in some DATE records you use German month abbreviations like OKT instead of OCT

It would also be good to know what add-on modules you have applied and if turning all add-ons off does the issue go away!

As I see, there are two problems there is only one problem:
1. the same REFN is used for INDI Sigismund and for FAM
2. The REFN of FAM is shown for the INDI Sigismund (under facts and events) (imho works as designed, or where would you expect that number)
- so for your first problem "SB-Number appears twice" Nr 1 is responsible: the same number for INDI and FAM
- the second: on the "facts and events" the REFN of the FAM is shown (and the REFN of the INDI is shown in Extra information)
So cause the REFN is given double for INDI and FAM that makes the trouble or you did want to do so and are surprised by the effect. (shown like marriage, cause it is the REFN attached to the FAM)

I understand now what the problem is. The data has been imported from a gedcom generated by our foundation's decades old software (written in Clipper) and with about 20,000 entries. Probably that structure was needed to achieve the required results. I'll have to see what happens when I removed "FAM" or I will try and replicate the date with a manual input of the snippet info and compare.
Thanks a lot for all the help.
