Date sort was created by Jacoline
This error will be in next release too. When I sort on date - it sort like ....... I tick at date and want to sort on birth or death. And this is the result  dev.webtrees.net/demo-stable/index.php?r...eneral&query=denmark

Can this be fixed please?

Still a noob

What is your next release. (perhaps the one from the site should have a date or a github reference)

Has already been fixed.

Take the (corresponding) files from github.

Demo stable as you can see at my link.
I do not have php8.3 so I wish the fix can be done in 2.2.1. I have no idea when I can switch for php8.3.
And why have a forum If I have to look at gh? Does not make sense

It works correctly on latest beta, not on stable. You can try for yourself, if you go to demo > latest beta

Yes. But I use 2.2.1 not latest beta. I can not install that. Since I do not have php 8.3. i ask for a fix on 8.2 which is the latest stable. You test on beta which is 2.2.22

The links are for version 2.2.1 . you mean the fix for 2.1.x. Simply wait for the next release (if you can't git), the issue is already known and solved.

You say, you are already on 2.2.1. Therefore you have two possibilties:
1) wait for the next release 2.2.2 which contains the release.
2) go to github, download the fixed files (see the links posted by Franz). Upload these files to your 2.2.1 installation overwriting the original ones.

If you're on 2.1.22 the same answer applies. Wait for release 2.1.23 which contains the fixed files or download and install the fixed files from the 2.1 branch from github.

Github (gh as you call it) is the primary source and repository for the webtrees software. If you want to get close up to date solutions, this is where you have to go, else you have to wait for a official release. This is also the primary place to put issues. The forum is only for discussion of issues and so on. Not all solutions are tha easy done like this one. So you better learn to download files from there, for the above reason.
