Add missing death records was created by Jacoline
When running this - I think it does not mark DEAT Y if I ex. having a source in the death record. Cause I ran the data fix and the result was empty. But when I draw out all my deaths - around 17 were missing this "DEAT Y"
Should it not put this "DEAT Y" no matter what I type in death event? If I make en empty event - it counts as dead (if I type something - note/source ect)

According to GEDCOM standards, an event is assumed to have happend if either
1) it has a date
2) it has a place
3) it has a "Y"
So, a death with just a note does not imply that the individual died. e.g. this does not imply that the individual died.
1 DEAT
2 NOTE Can't find a death record. If still alive, he will be 108

I am sorry but I did not have place or date - only source/notes - and the datafix did not add the DEAT Y and after I did it by hand the STATS did not changed - which it should according to what you explained. Perhaps I just misunderstand how to use datafix "adding death records"

The logic for the datafix is:
If the record doesn't contain "1 DEAT" (or "1 BURI" or "1 CREM"), and the are ages/dates that confirm the individual is dead, then add "1 DEAT Y".
But since you already have DEAT records (without any DATE/PLAC/Y), the logic isn't triggered...

Yes. But datafix can not do it for me. I went through more than 900 records to find those 17 with missing DEAT Y. The death record contained only a source of note. Can not understand why it does not at it the datafix. If I searched I got the result without the 17. Kinda difficult to find what I need to investigate if the data does not show.
Up to you. But not working right. I just draw data out and count in other apps. i just tell you it is not working right
