I am having an issue removing duplicate individuals with the same exact name, birthday, and baptismal from the list of duplicates.  I am hesitant in changing the dates because both are correct.  Is there some other way in webtrees to indicate it is not a duplication and remove it from the list of duplicates?  Please advise!

You could maybe look at merging the two instances!!

Control panel >> Manage family trees >> Find Duplicates then 'Merge'.. You could and probably should open a separate tab to ensure they are indeed duplicate Individual Records..

I think what he meant was that although they look identical, these are two distinct individuals, thus should not be merged.

This is a known issue, not much can be done. I thought of including name of places, parents, spouses and children in the matching. While this reduces the probability of false positives, it increases the probability of false negatives as well. So there is a trade-off, a balance to find.

All I can think of is to attach a (shared) note: "false positive in Find Duplicates report".
Maybe such a mark should be included.

Thank you for the response, it is a false positive in the negative duplication report. I will attach a shared note.

I have false duplicates for images, cause using the same title.

I do not want to change the title.

Is there a possibility of marking them as not, or should the checker use an other algorithm?

An option to exclude media files when searching for duplicates would be much appreciated!

I concur with having an option to exclude duplicate titles. For my media, I encourage users to title them with just the presumed year of origin. This gives me a lot of title duplicates with the current algorithm

You should give your media objects unique titles.

If you have two media objects with the same title, it would fail an accessibility test. Users with screen-readers would not be able to distinguish them.
