Bonjour,

Quelle solution ?

Remerciements anticipés

SalutationsHello,
While waiting for the reinstallation of WEBTREES on my "site" by the "server" managers, I tried to reinstall WEBTREES in "localhost" via WAMP
Unfortunately this installation does not succeed completely: see attached rejection.

What solution?

Thanks in advance

Greetings

It says the database tables for webtrees already exist. So this is not the first time you run it with WAMP.

I have not seen the setup wizzard of webtrees since a long time. I think it prompts for a table prefix, by default 'wt_'. If you fill that with another value eg 'wt2_' then the error should not occur.

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.1.20

The first error says that a table already exists.

I guess that you started the installation before and there was an error. So you have an incomplete database.

You should delete it and start again.

The second error is an issue with MySQL. What version are you using?

I've seen this key size error before. This depends on the database server configuration, and it has to do with the size of the names of the fields in a given key for a table index. It might be that if you can "save" those 71 bytes that are over the limit by not setting any table prefix at all (i.e. set it to "" instead of "wt_"). Not sure if you were already using "wt2_" or not, and this will only be able to succeed if the index causing the problem has 18 fields or more.

Otherwise, please look at the instructions on how to configure the database row format:  dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.4/en/innodb-limits.html
