v 2.2.1
Hiding GEDCOM Tags from Display was created by samiona
While there are ways to hide some GEDCOM tags from the edit window, my GEDCOM has some tags such as MAP that I do not want displayed. I currently remove them from my GEDCOM before import. Is there a way to configure webtrees to ignore some tags on import or to not display them if they are imported?
Thanks
Thanks

Control Panel - [your tree] - Privacy: the table at the bottom.
You can set restrictions on "level 1" tags. I don't get "Map" in the list, so I suspect it's a "level 2" tag (subordinate to a proper event or fact) and thus not possible.

The Readme file of the custom module contains a description of the concept of GEDCOM filters.
A good way to start would be to copy an existing GEDCOM filter. For example, you could copy the RemoveToDoDataGedcomFilter , which deletes all _TODO structures from a GEDCOM file. This might be pretty simular to deleting the MAP data you mentioned.
If you need any help, I can support.

Yes, the Extended Import/Export custom module offers the possibility, to use GEDCOM filters during import. You can define specific GEDCOM filters and apply them during import. It is also possible to apply the same GEDCOM filters as datafixes to an existing tree. While there are ways to hide some GEDCOM tags from the edit window, my GEDCOM has some tags such as MAP that I do not want displayed.
