when I have read a topic and use the back button in the browser the indication of topics to read has been updated in previous versions of this forum.
Now I have to manually refresh the page, to change for updating that information. Can that be achieved again?

What annoys me is that when I'm on, say, the page with Recent Posts or a topic I want to answer, when logging in I'm put back to the Index page and not back where I was.
I suppose both these (your and my observations) are mostly due to Kunena core functions and Makitso can't do much about it.

Yes, this annoys me as well. I will post a query to the kunena forum about this, perhaps I have something configured wrong.
@franz, as stated before, this forum runs on Kunena software. The issue you describe "may" be a basic browser issue or a Kunena bug. In my experience, inconvenient issues get little attention from Kunena developers.

May be the setting of a lifetime of a page is now changed.
Revert the version or complain at kunena.
Reading a topic should change the state of a topic (to has been read) and show that there is one topic less to read by reducing the number of unread topics.

I agree with you on this one, yet as Rob states the devs don't care so much about such trivial things.
I'm sure Rob has had a look at settings etc, possibly altered one or two and ??
Rob could and probably will pass the issue to Kunena Support, it is they that do stuff and not Rob..

I've tried it twice (from a topic and from the Recent Topics page) and both times after logging in I got back at /forum/index.
So alas, cannot reproduce...

I wasn't complaining about that.

My concern is that I don't click on a category again because it shows that there are still unread posts, which turns out to be false.
Das habe ich nicht bemängelt.
Mir geht es darum, dass ich nicht noch einmal auf eine Kategorie klicke, weil angezeigt wird, dass dort noch ungelesene Beiträge sind, was sich dann als falsch herausstellt.

ps.: In my opinion its simply a switch to do caching of a page or not to do / of forum software to recognize a site must be refreshed!
pps: Every forum I use, does as I expect.

You're right, sorry for the hijack.I wasn't complaining about that.
Anyway, I've tested with my main browsers Chrome and Safari (on MacOs) and I cannot reproduce your observation. When going back, my browser fetches the page again and the green counter disappears.
So may I ask what browser are you using?

and testing now the behaviour is corrected.
I got no info about an update of chrome.
I got no info about update of the forum software.
But there must be, for sure.

The top login (see below) places you at the forum index. The kunena login (see lower) places you on the page you were on.

now the count does again not change on using the back button. So I am sure its not the chrome browsers responsibility.
