file Question Login problem after change of hosting company

   webtrees version = 2.1.18
PHP version = 8.3
HTML command =  www.bredy.org.uk/webtrees/index.php?rout...ee%2FOFarrell-Warner

I recently moved the hosting of my domain to a different (commercial) hosting company and they transferred the hosted files to the new host. When I now run webtrees on the new host, I see the usual screen but it does not allow me to login. The startup/status screen says that someone is signed in. Screenshots attached. Attempts to reset password and setup a new user fail silently. I do have a backup taken before the hosting change but wonder if there is a simpler fix than downloading, reinstalling and importing?

You've tried all of these?
webtrees.net/faq/password/

stamboom.BertKoor.nl runs on webtrees v2.2.6

A couple of observations:
  1. On visiting your site, I get the cookie check which indicates you're using webtrees 2.2.5 or 6 not 2.1.18
  2. I assume your provider also copied your old database so I would definitely empty the session table to clear all sessions from your old provider
And don't forget the advice Bert has given

Thanks bert and ddrury. It's now running OK but I did need to use PhpMyAdmin to clear the session table and reset my password. All the other password FAQ suggestions got nowhere. In trying to resolve the problem, I had downloaded and attempted to install 2.2.6 but was unsure whether it had installed correctly. It had but that was not clear at the time. I have needed to reset lots of the settings in Control Panel but things are looking pretty good now, and email from the system is working.

Thanks again,
Vince
