Custom Module Manager not detected in webtrees 2.2.6 was created by Swantine
Hello,I am using webtrees 2.2.6 and am currently trying to extend it with additional modules. Despite placing everything correctly on the server and following the installation instructions exactly, webtrees does not recognize the Custom Module Manager module.I have already checked everything twice with the help of AI tools:
- No duplicate folder was created during extraction.
- The module is located in the correct modules directory.
- I am using the latest installation package.

Did you put the question mark over the resources directory?
It should expand on click and contain subdirectories:
* css
* img
* lang
* views
I bet that the error log on the server will contain log lines with error stating that this module cannot instantiate itself.
So try extracting the .zip again and upload those subdirectories.
May I ask what you used to upload? For instance lately I'm reading many complaints about FileZilla not doing what it's supposed to do.

Filezilla puts question marks on the folders; they disappear when you click on them, and Filezilla seems to refresh... but I’m not sure. I have to admit my last FTP experience was over 20 years ago, so I’m no expert here. The question marks definitely don’t mean the folder is empty. So far, I haven’t had any issues with Filezilla; everything I’ve uploaded has worked fine. Except for the "hh-historic-events" module, where I can’t see any German extensions to select, but that’s another issue and might get its own post. Back to the Custom Module Manager. I’ve already unpacked everything and put it in the module folder a second time—no change. The site logs don’t give any clues either.

If genealogical work isn't meant to be shared, I wonder what it's meant to be at all: For to get help, tell the address of your webtrees site!

check, if you have enabled the Custom Module Manager in Control panel / All modules / Lists .
btw: if you have a running version of the Custom Module Manager, you can let update it by itself, by clicking the corresponding line of the listed custom modules.
An "Update Module" - button would be visible for the module, if out of date.

Ich kann nichts aktivieren, weil der Custom Module Manager unter "alle Module" nicht gefunden wird.

I’m going to delete everything one more time, unpack it again, and upload it to the server.

Findest Du das Erweiterungsmodul "Management von Erweiterungsmodulen" jetzt in der Liste? Und kannst Du es durch einen Klick auf den Schraubenschlüssel öffnen?
Was bedeutet "Except for the "hh-historic-events" module, where I can’t see any German extensions to select, but that’s another issue and might get its own post."? Kannst Du bitte einen neuen Themenstrang dazu aufmachen? Ich möchte Dir gerne helfen.
Viele Grüße
