Double entry in places was created by Franz Frese
For some reason,I don't know, there are two entries with the same name listed in Control panel / Geographic data (mostly one already with coords).
What is the best way to correct this bug?

Invisible character at the end?
Different hierarchy?

both answers: No

One possible solution (if only one individuum is involved, else too much work):
1. edit facts place to a non existent.
2. now both entries in Geographical data show unused. delete both.
3. rename the non existent to the wanted one.
4 .Give place the coords.
