Depending on the speed of your server, the upgrade will take between 3 seconds and 3 minutes.

Your upgrade has almost certainly failed - most likely you hit the server's CPU time limit.

You'll need to complete the upgrade manually.

1) upload the files to the server using FTP
2) remove the file data/offline.txt (again, using FTP)

Thanks! This solved the update issue!

Just on more minor glitch after the update:
Some (not all) of the Thumbnails in .../medialist.php don't show up anymore.
Any suggestion?

Thanks again!!

Hello!

I have the same few mounts: "This site is temporarily unavailable".
I did not backup the database.
How to complete the upgrade manually?
Unpack the zip file and upload the files to the root directory or to an additional directory, and run some script?

Regards
MH

1) Download the latest version (webtrees.zip).
2) Unzip the files on your desktop computer.
3) Copy the files to the webserver using FTP.
4) Delete the file data/offline.txt

Thank you very much.
In the old version are directories that are not in the new version.
Can I remove them?

If you visit admin.php then webtrees will automatically delete old files/folders from previous versions of webtrees.

If it does not have permission to do this, then it will list the old files/folders so that you can delete them manually.
